2007/8 Placements

July 8-13th, 2007
Placements (formerly known as tryouts) are used by our coaches to assess new and existing players to insure they are placed appropriately on our teams. There's a place for everyone in our programs. Dakota Gold does not cut players.
The Placement schedule for this year is found here.
New players are asked to attend at least 2 of the 3 tryouts listed for their age group.
What age group am I? Click here for the USYSA Age Group Guidelines.
If you have any questions about the Placements, please call the office.

Coach Steve Larsen to take Sabattical
|
|
Thanks for your Contribution to the Dakota Gold Legacy!
Coach Steve Larsen (U12G) has announced that he will take a leave of absence from coaching at the end of this season. Coach Larsen most recently coached the U12 Girls team.
DOC Coach Cristian says "Coach Larsen has been a tremendous asset to our organization, donating 4-6 hours each week for mowing in addition to coaching. Most people don't realize the hours that Coach Larsen has spent to improve his skills as a youth coach. He has attended countless training sessions with our staff! Coach Larsen has been truly accountable for his responsibility (as a DGSC coach) to develop players in our community! We will definitely miss having him out at the training grounds each week! "
All of us will miss Coach Larsen and hope he returns soon to help mentor another batch of young players!

Members Volunteering and Donating; Making Dakota Gold the Best it Can Be!
Lisa Griffin
Lisa (mom of Matt U15 and Taylor U13) was the Tournament Director for this years' 20th Annual Dakota Gold Tournament. Lisa spent months organizing all the details for our biggest fund raiser. Lisa's dedication and organization made the tournament a huge success. All of us owe Lisa a huge debt of gratitude for the successful tournament.
A special, personal thank-you to Lisa for all her contributions. Please be sure to thank Lisa when you see her.
Rainbow Play Systems, Mid-Continent Communications and Dakota Gold Premier Academy
A combination of donations and support from these fine organizations placed a spectacular new playground set at the training grounds.
Ryan Beier
Ryan and his company Beier Painting supplied the paint, expertise and patience necessary to paint the storage shed at the Training Grounds. Coach Cristian 'helped' Ryan in the effort. The shed looks great!
