College Recruiting Seminar

 Attn: High School Age Players & Parents!
DGSC is holding its annual college recruiting seminar to examine the intricacies of finding a college (or having a college find you), and understanding the recruiting process. All high school age players and parents are welcome.
The Seminar will be attended by Brandon Barkus (Augustana College), Mekonnen Afa (Univ. of Sioux Falls), Tom Maxon (Morningside), Becky Heiberger (USD) and others. Former DGSC players will also attend to explain their experiences and knowledge about the process!
The seminar is Wednesday February 13, 2008; 7:00 PM; Ronning Library (3100 East 49th Street).

Joga Bonito Indoor Season II & Indoor III Registration

 Deadline: Thursday, January 17!
If you have not already signed up for Indoor Season II, you still have time to submit the registration paperwork! The registration form can be found here, or you can visit our website to register online.
The session runs for 6 weeks, starting Saturday, January 26th and ending Monday, March 3rd. Players 5 and 6 years old have the option of a Saturday or Monday session. Players ages 7 through 9 years old will play on Saturdays only. All sessions will take place at Avera Sports Institute's newly renovated indoor soccer facility with DGSC's professionally- and youth-licensed coaches. No other soccer organization has more qualified coaches for your kids!
Indoor Season III starts March 8 and runs to April 19. You can also sign up for those sessions now! With "Spring in the air" about this time, this session is one of our most popular and space fills up fast.

| Scheduling Input Needed
The Club is currently working on the Club Calendar schedule for the Fall 2008 season. We need input from each Coach and Manager as to the tournaments/friendlies you want to attend.
Parents, be sure to talk to your coach and manager to express your opinions.
We are holding a coaches meeting on January 23, so your timely response to your team officials is greatly appreciated.

| U10 to U15 Nebraska Soccer League Dues |

 Be Responsible & Responsive!
This is a reminder for our teams to pay their fees for the NSL, which are due to the DGSC office no later than Monday, January 21st.
The NSL requires/requests that DGSC send them one check for all of our teams! In exchange, we feel the NSL is very accommodating to our team's requests for games!
Our U10 - U12 teams should submit $550.00 and our U13-U15 teams should pay $600.00. Our teams are responsible for completing the registration paperwork online at www.nsle.com.
Parents - be sure to have your team account current so the teams have sufficient funds for this important league. Please be responsive to your team managers! |

 Professional Coaching = Success
DGSC's Under 10 Developmental teams have become a tremendous success story!
Please tell your friends and neighbors about the latest/greatest instructional program from Dakota Gold. As always, these teams are coached by USSF Nationally-licensed and National Youth-licensed coaches.
Players born between Aug. 1997 and July 1999 qualify for this program!
Please contact DGSC's Director of Coaching Tim Cristian at 335-1394 if your children love soccer!

DGSC's "New Year Classic" Indoor Tourney

 Tournament is Smashing Success!
The First Annual DGSC New Year Classic Indoor Tournament is over. We want to express our thanks to all the Boys and Girls teams that made each weekend so great!
We had over 50 teams compete, travelling from as far away as Minot, ND and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Thanks also to all the parent-volunteers that managed the registration, t-shirt sales, scoring, etc. We can't do this without you.

Time to Plan!
The 21st Annual Dakota Gold Invitational Soccer Tournament is scheduled for June 13, 14 and 15, 2008. In 2007, this tournament boasted over 130 club and recreational teams.
Help spread the word about our great tournament! The tournament brochure is here. Take copies to your team's tournaments and friendly games!
If you know of a Club that should attend, let us know, or point them to our tournament website.
