Ashley Oswald (U18 Alliance) traveled with her parents Tammy & Dave on their yearly mission trip to Haiti this February. While there, Ashley helped to distribute the soccer shirts and socks that Dakota Gold contributed to their organization. Ashley commented "Their goals are made of bamboo, the field is just dirt. It was great to be able to bring them a few items to make them smile." She continued "Soccer is their national sport; they love it and have such natural ability. If they could only have the equipment and training they would be great players."
Ashley and her parents are part of the "Helping Hands for Haiti" nonprofit organization. The organization focuses on educating and feeding children along with community development. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. The average income in the rural areas of Haiti is $150 per year. The Oswalds would again like to thank Dakota Gold for their support of the children in Haiti.
