Former DGSC Player Inducted into SDSSA Hall of Fame
Chris Houser Inducted at SDSSA'S Annual Meeting
Former Dakota Gold player Chris Houser was inducted into the South Dakota State Soccer Association Hall of Fame on November 3, 2007.
Chris has represented South Dakota at the professional (Major League Soccer’s Tampa Bay Mutiny), collegiate (University of Southern Conn.), and the US National Team levels! SDSSA recognized Mr. Houser’s achievements and commitment to improving soccer in South Dakota by selecting him for the SDSSA Hall of Fame during their 2007 Annual Meeting.
Chris has routinely returned to South Dakota since his retirement to give back to the South Dakota soccer community. Dakota Gold is fortunate to have a resource like Chris that can help our players by removing many of the obstacles he faced in trying to realize his dreams of playing at the highest levels!
Although currently living in Phoenix, Arizona, Chris has always made himself available to our players and teams. Two years ago, one of our DGSC Premier level teams was accepted into a tournament in Phoenix based solely on Chris’ recommendation to the tournament committee! Chris put his reputation in the Phoenix community on the line for DGSC! For those interested, DGSC’s team represented South Dakota with very respectable results!
Mr. Houser encourages you to email him anytime at chouser@cox.net. We certainly encourage those of you that have attended his clinics or seminars to drop him note in appreciation!
Yours in Soccer,
Coach Cristian
