Volunteer and Donation Opportunities

Dakota Gold has a wide variety of needs as this club expands and improves.  Dakota Gold’s operating budget is dependent upon fundraising, sponsorships and players fees.  Dakota Gold wants to avoid raising player’s fees to cover this expansion and requests the membership’s help with their expertise, contacts, services, etc.

1)     Anyone with grant writing/editing experience that would be interested in helping Dakota Gold respond to grant requests (for proposals), would be greatly appreciated.

2)     GrassRoots Academy “Friendlies” Scheduler/Coordinator- Coordinate opportunities for Dakota Gold’s Under 8, Under 9 and Under 10 teams to play local tournaments/games.

3)     Dakota Gold is always looking for parents to volunteer their time  and their ideas with our Fundraising committee.  Contact Ken Keiser at 331-2761.

4)     Dakota Gold’s Field Complex is going to require the items listed below:  (Dakota Gold members that can either provide items, equipment or services at a discount are encouraged to contact the Executive Director, Tim Cristian)

a)     Playground-SWING SET, mulch, sand, and materials to enclose the Playground area.

b)     Earthwork: Gravel Road Preparation/base, 1,125 LF of Road at 24’ wide

c)      Materials & Labor to build a small shed.

d)     Earthwork: Perimeter Berming, as materials or equipment available

e)     Shelter Materials, 20’ x 20’ shelter minimum, stick built with asphalt shingles

f)       Shelter Construction, stick built with asphalt shingles

g)     Concrete Flatwork for Shelter, 30’ x 30’ minimum 4” thick pad

h)     Deciduous Canopy Trees, Approximately 32 total

i)       Deciduous Ornamental Trees, Approximately 3 total

j)       Windbreak/Buffer Plantings, via Soil Conservation Service?
