All - SSC Men’s Soccer Team- Dakota Gold Alumni player, Travis Haight, member of the Missouri Southern State University, was picked for the inaugural All-Southwest Soccer conference team in voting by the league’s coaches. Sophomore, Travis Haight from Sioux Falls, SD was picked for second-team accolades.
 
Haight, a 6- foot and 180 pound goalkeeper, played all of the team’s nearly 1800 minutes in goal this season and his 160 saves (8.42 per game) lead the SSC. He also ranked third in NCAA Division II (through games of Oct. 24) in saves per game. Haight posted two shutouts in 2004 and a 2.31 goals-against average.

Local Players on all - 2004 NCC soccer teamThree women’s soccer players from Sioux Falls, Minnesota State’s Mallary Born and Stacey McGuire and Augustana’s Kelly Dudgeon, were named to the first team of the all-North Central Conference team. McGuire, a senior, was named to the first team for a second time.

    Senior midfielder Lindsey Gustafson (former Dynasty player) was one of just six student-athletes to receive the prestigious Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Award for 2003-04 announced by the conference office yesterday. Erin Seidel Augustana F Fr. Sioux Falls, S.D. 2 goals, 3 asst

 

 

Erin Seidel (former Illusion player) now playing for Augustana, was named to the NCC first team All-Conference as well as Freshman of the Year.

 

 

Stacey McGuire Minnesota State D Jr. Sioux Falls, S.D. 1 assist

 

 

Stacy McGuire (former Legend and Illusion player) now playing for MSU-Mankato was named to the NCC first team All-Conference.

 

 

 

Mallary Born Minnesota State M Fr. Sioux Falls, S.D. 2 assists, 1 shot

 

 

Mallory Born (former Illusion player) now playing for MSU-Mankato was named to the NCC second team All-Conference.

 

 

 

Erin Miller South Dakota State GK Sr. Sioux Falls, S.D. 0.64 GAA, 55 saves

 

 

Erin Miller (former Dynasty player) now playing for SDSU was named to the NCC first team All-Conference and conference MVP

Alumni News:

Melissa Husby, former DG Dynasty player, was the starting sweeper for the second year as a sophomore at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, MO. Melissa also earned the honor of the Commissioner’s All Conference Academic Award.

Erin Miller, from DG Dynasty, was named Big 12 Player of The Week. Erin plays starting goal keeper for University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Lindsey Gustafson, from DG Dynasty, set a new school record for Murray State Women’s soccer with three assists in a single game. She also scored a goal in that 6-0 shutout against Arkansas State.

Adam Johnson, from DG Eclipse, is the starting sweeper for Beloit College. Lindsey Kolbreck, from DG Dynasty, is the starting defender for Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. As a freshman, she lead her team to the Division II Conference Championship.

Chris Shaw, from DG Spectra, is starting left midfielder for University of Missouri, Rolla. The team is a contender for the NCAA Division II tournament with a 9-3-1 record. Chris, a sophomore, has been named Missouri Scholar Athlete, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

TJ Rolfing, from Spectra, has been the leading scorer for 2 years at Radford University. This year, as a junior, he is currently leading the conference in goals scored.

Three DG Alumni lead the statistics for the University of Missouri Rolla: Senior, Hass Jassim of DG Sabers; sophomore, Adam Dancler of DG Genesis; and sophomore Chris Shaw of DG Spectra.
